BREAKING: Bombshell leak reveals that Donald Trump has been secretly plotting for the past few weeks to send the National Guard into Chicago to expand his fascist crackdowns and seize more power.

And it gets so much worse...

According to two officials who spoke to CNN, Trump's recent threat that Chicago would be next after Washington D.C. was not just idle chatter. He's looking to expand his supposed "anti-crime" efforts and brutal anti-immigration measures to other major cities.

As must always be noted when discussing this expanding authoritarian agenda, the supposed crime wave is a MAGA myth. D.C. for example recently hit a 30 year low for violent crime. This is about seizing more control and distracting from the Jeffrey Epstein scandal as well as Trump's failed economic policies.

CNN reports that it's still unclear how many troops will be deployed to Chicago or when the deployments could begin but this is nothing less than the U.S. president abusing his powers as commander-in-chief to carry out military occupations of American cities.

“There are many things the federal government could do to help us reduce crime and violence in Chicago, but sending in the military is not one of them,” stated Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson. He called the proposed deployment "unlawful" and "uncalled for."

Johnson vowed yesterday that Chicago will take legal action if Trump proceeds with his plan, stating that "the people of this city are accustomed to rising up against tyranny.”

“What he is proposing at this point would be the most flagrant violation of our Constitution in the 21st century. The city of Chicago does not need a military occupation,” said Johnson. “That’s not what we need. In fact, we’ve been very clear about what we need. We need to invest in people to ensure that we can build safe and affordable communities.”

Illinois' superstar Governor J.B. Pritzker also weighed in on the issue—

"The safety of the people of Illinois is always my top priority. There is no emergency that warrants the President of the United States federalizing the Illinois National Guard, deploying the National Guard from other states, or sending active duty military within our own borders,” he said.

It is absolutely crucial for the future of our democracy that this form of abuse of power not become normalized. Donald Trump is a deeply unpopular president desperate to project strength at any cost. He's wasting our tax dollars and putting American citizens in danger by flooding our streets with armed soldiers and vehicles of war. If we continue down this path, there may be no coming back.
