WATCH BEFORE THE WATCH: June 3, 2026
Parts of northern Nebraska is being monitored for a severe weather watch. There's a chance we may see one later this early evening.
RADAR CHECK: Through 326pm Tuesday, June 3rd
Storms are spreading out, but are also reforming over Harlan and Franklin counties. Might have some flooding issues in that area eventually
The monthly siren test is happening at 10:15am Wednesday, June 3rd!
Have a plan, practice it, and be ready. And remember, sirens are meant for those outdoors. Have other ways to be alerted should you be inside, in a car, or just can't hear them
A level 1 Marginal Risk is in place for the potential for severe storms by late Wednesday afternoon and into the evening hours for much of the western half of Nebraska. Large hail and damaging wind are possible.
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCHES: June 1-2, 2026
A Severe T-storm Watch is in place for the panhandle of Nebraska through 8pm Monday night, June 1st.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in place for far SW Nebraska until midnight, early Tuesday morning, June 2nd.
HEADS UP, LINCOLN! As of 213pm Monday, June 1st.
A storm has popped up FAST in Seward county and it's moving east. Might see some isolated heavy rain, lightning, and small hail.
The area circled in blue is being monitored for a severe weather watch this Sunday evening. It's a small chance for a watch, but storms are looking likely in this area eventually. Lincoln is on the edge.
Isolated storms are possible in the "Marginal Risk" area late this afternoon and early evening. Not everybody will see storms, but one or two will try to pop up somewhere in eastern Nebraska and move east during the evening.
Storms may have 1" hail, heavy rain, and lightning.
A Tornado Watch (yellow) has been issued for parts of the western half of Nebraska through 11pm Saturday night. Ongoing Severe T-storm Watches (pink) are in place in the panhandle and south central Nebraska through Saturday evening, as well.
A Severe T-storm Watch is in place for south central Nebraska through 10pm Saturday night. Storms will start to move into this area after 5-6pm. If the storms continue to move north and east, more watches may be necessary. The watch in the panhandle continues through 9pm Saturday
