@rodericogorman@Costellop You and your 77 colleagues in the Dáil should be ashamed of yourselves. You're not fit to mention the title minister for children let alone hold it, not even consideration given to possible amendments to the bill.... what happened to democracy? Just a continuation of the abuse.
@eir can someone contact me about cancelling my account, 3 times now I've been on hold for more than 1hr and then disconnected... its ridiculous at this stage. A/C 38993519
No family help, no services.... a 12 week extention in maternity leave and benefit would give mothers the chance to regain some of what was lost. The proposed extension to parental leave is a completely separate issue and will be of no benefit to mothers struggling right now.
How much extra do you think it will cost the government when thousands of women have to leave work and sign on because they can't access childcare or apply for illness benefit because their mental health has been so badly affected by having a baby in isolation, having no supports
We need an answer @LeoVaradkar! You said you would give "meaningful consideration" to temporarily extending maternity leave and benefit in light of the COVID crisis! Over 27,000 people have now signed our Petition. We need a decision #AnswerTheBabiesLeo#ExtendMatLeave2020
Women who've had babies recently haven't had access to the usual supports for new mothers. We're supporting the call to #extendmaternityleave@bridsmithTD
Let’s hope it will be good news @CharlieFlanagan just told me in Dáil he will make a announcement in next 48 hours on the extension of maternity leave and benefits for #COVIDー19 period @rtenews @KittyHollandIT @IrishTimes@NWCI
