Prayer 🙏 Warriors Come Forward!!!!
Ten days ago, Xavier Taylor was walking back to the dugout at a baseball field in Maple Shade, New Jersey. He was 12 years old and warming up before a game he loved. A ball struck him in the neck. He collapsed. He never woke up.
Last night, the Benjamin Franklin Bridge connecting New Jersey to Philadelphia turned blue for him.
Xavier has been on life support at Cooper University Hospital in Camden since May 26. His father Greg, a retired firefighter who was on that field and ran to his son first, has stood in front of crowds, cameras, and hundreds of strangers gathered outside that hospital and said the same thing every time. His son loves this game. He will play it again.
Tonight the update is the hardest one yet. There has been no brain activity. Doctors continue monitoring. His family continues hoping. And now they are sitting with a question no parent should ever have to answer. Whether to let go. Whether to allow Xavier to give life to other children through organ donation. Whether to find any footing at all in a loss that has no good explanation.
An errant throw. A warmup. A 12-year-old boy with a Bible verse on his hat and three teams to play for and a father who never stopped believing.
Greg Taylor and his family are in that hospital room tonight carrying something that words cannot reach. Hundreds of thousands of people who never met Xavier have prayed for him by name. That does not stop tonight.
What would you want Greg to know as he faces the hardest moments of his life?

@aliciaandrz I had a cat who had a tight curly tail, more than a nub but he would wiggle it around & his tail fur spread out nicely. He was whole in every way. So is your Little Grey.
