17 Brigade Nigerian Army Promises More Support For NYSC

The Commander, 17 Brigade, Nigerian Army Katsina, Brigadier General Ishaya Ibrahim has promised the readiness of officers and men of the Brigade to offer more services for the NYSC Katsina.

He said the Brigade would leave no stone unturned in ensuring that adequate protection was given to all Prospective and serving Corps Members in the State.

He disclosed this when the Director General of National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu paid him a visit in his office.

The Commander, who hailed General Nafiu for transformative leadership since assuming duty in the Scheme, also reiterated the cordial relationship that exists between the 17 Brigade and NYSC Katsina Secretariat.

He promised more support from the Brigade for NYSC Katsina State.

Speaking earlier, Brigadier General Nafiu appreciated the officers and men of the 17 Brigade for making Katsina peaceful for the Scheme to perform its statutory responsibilities.

He said the efforts of the Brigade has made it possible for NYSC Katsina State Secretariat to post Corps Members without fear, adding that the Scheme does not post Corps Members to areas considered unsafe.

He also commended the Brigade for the welfare of the Corps Members serving in the formation, likewise the officers and men being deployed to the NYSC Katsina State Orientation Camp for drills and security assignments for their dedication and discipline.
