🚨🚨 | BREAKING: 💣
Arsenal have been voted The Media’s Most Influential Club of the Year. 🗳️
They recorded the highest social media mentions and interactions, making them the most talked-about club of the 2025/26 season. 🔥🗣️
I couldn’t quite pinpoint why last night was so special, beyond the obvious scenes of seeing 100,000+ Arsenal fans all celebrating together.
I spent a good hour just watching people walk past and celebrate with people they knew and people they didn’t. And now I think that what made last night a truly once-in-a-lifetime moment, for me anyway, was that every single fan had their own story of expectation and suffering to get to that same moment of relief and pure joy. Decades of near misses and pain, passed down from generation to generation.
I’m guessing it’s also because we went through something a club of this size rarely goes through. You watch a club like Crystal Palace last season with the FA Cup, or Leicester’s league win in 2016, and you see the ecstasy that comes from living through a genuinely historic moment. And we got a big club version of that. Clubs like Arsenal don’t often go 20 years without a league win. So after 22 years, we got to experience a feeling that comes from an almost paralysing weight of expectation.
Chances are we’ll win the league again at some point. But it won’t feel as good as this does. Not for the next 20 years anyway 😅
I could be wrong about all this of course. I’m just trying to make sense of why last night I was the happiest I’ve ever been.
