People are confused. It’s not just that I don’t want to watch a public execution (I wont). I don’t want anyone to watch one. I don’t want anyone to be able to. It’s a matter of collective moral psychology and civic culture. You people despise the other countries who do this.
Republicans: vote for us to stop Sharia Law from coming to America
Also Republicans:
-public executions
-bans certain types of meat
-bans “immoral” books
-wants a state religion
-goes after LGBTQ people
-treats women like second class citizens
Historian of fascism here. This is an escalation of an attempt to normalize extreme violence, ritualize violence, militarize the country, and make violence entertaining so when they ask you to commit violence in their name, you will be ready.
every fucking day I think to myself "no way shit can get worse" and each day Im proven wrong. at some point, certain people in this country need to get off their high horse and just admit they love being POS to create hardships for those around em
I grew up during the time where execution videos were all over the internet. true, genuine execution videos, not some ai shit that may come up today. as a growing kid, I thought it was edgy to be watching those videos. I eventually got desensitized and my view changed
whats even more sickening is the fact that this is coming from the same administration that loves to tout their religious excellency. I would love for any religious person who supports this to explain just how much this coincides with their religious teachings
Wake up man we are gunna watch live streamed executions on the official white house trump tv channel. Then after we are gunna get stalked on Flock cameras on the way to pay 5 dollars for gas. It’s the golden age man!!
this is why I despise todays politics man. its just fluff n bs. just tell the american people you dont want to make meaningful investments that will make every american life easier. who needs healthcare, paved roads, or housing when we can just give our money to billionaires, foh
Q: “How do you define socialism personally?”
Vance: “I think in reality, what it actually means in the American context is that you want to replace American workers with foreign workers, and you want boys to play in girls' sports.”
MAGA resolves Trump’s contradictions by treating his words as infinitely flexible: literal when convenient, metaphorical when embarrassing, and “taken out of context” when indefensible.
It’s an escape hatch from ever having to hold him accountable for what he actually says.
