During the consultations, @Latvian_MFA Political Director @Ivarslasis1 discussed 🇱🇻🇲🇩 friendly bilateral relations with Moldovan officials and reiterated Latvia’s firm support for Moldova’s EU 🇪🇺 integration and resilience against external threats.

Kopš Krievijas uzsāktā pilna mēroga agresijas kara pret Ukrainu 🇺🇦 Latvijas valsts ir ziedojusi aptuveni 993 milj. eiro un sabiedrība - aptuveni 75 milj. eiro Ukrainas atbalstam. Pateicamies par iedzīvotāju atbalstu 🇺🇦 jau līdz šim 🙏

I was pleased to welcome the Speaker of the Latvian Saeima, @DaigaMierina, to Kyiv. We had a substantive discussion on continued support for Ukraine and joint steps aimed at achieving a just and lasting peace across the region.

Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, Latvia has been our reliable ally. I am grateful to Latvia and its people for their annual allocation of 0.25% of GDP for military support to Ukraine, their assistance to our soldiers, and for helping all Ukrainians.

We highly value all humanitarian projects and Latvia’s contributions to Ukraine’s recovery. We are especially thankful for Latvia’s support of the Crimea Platform and for hosting the third Parliamentary Summit.
