ON THE ROAD: 4,000 public high school students got the surprise of a lifetime this week thanks to an initiative called Hope Chicago. @SteveHartmanCBS is On the Road with this inspiring program that plans to invest a billion dollars into the next generation.
When we launchd the @globus service, I asked for a ticker tracking MBs transferred. I remember the excitement when we got to 10PB. Today, I see close to 1.5 EB and a steady 15 GB/s (1 TB/minute, 1.4 PB/day). That's a lot of research data, hopefully going somewhere useful.
