@JustinHaugens Oh certainly. But as a trainee physician who won’t see a salary like that till I’m approaching 40, I’m acutely aware of the misconceptions around my income. You have to factor in debt, deferred contributions to retirement etc.

@JustinHaugens Common misconception re training duration. Almost impossible to be a surg attending by 28. Would mean they graduated med school by 23 which is possible but unlikely. Almost impossible to be an attending surgeon for 3-4 yrs at 28 y/o.
