@AlexF642576 @lady_valor_07 I think you're going off the paneling and ignoring the Bell System Touch Tone dialing phone. That was a real status symbol until the 1980s. Somebody was paying 10% to 20% more on their phone bill every month to have that dial phone prior to 1984 and the breakup of at&t.
