Starbucks, the second largest fast food corporation in the world, has been refusing to negotiate with the thousands of unionized workers. Baristas from 95 stores have been on strike to demand a contract now!

The Park Lane Hotel's owners today severed the contract with the staffing agency that employs the 20+ workers forming this union, effectively firing the entire bargaining unit, a @rwu_str official tells me.

Most of the other workers in the hotel are unionized with @NYHTC.

The use of a staffing agency in this case is a diversion and a pretext for violating the labor rights of the workers, something that has been experienced by more precarious workers everywhere.

Workers at Strand Bookstore have voted to authorize a strike.

The CBA for members of UAW Local 2179 at Strand expires on Thanksgiving and workers could walk out on strike as soon as Friday.

It would be the first strike at Strand since the 90's.

The NLRB has set the trial for November 12.

Mattos Hospitality is being charged for 38 allegations and the government is seeking a Cemex bargaining order.
