@WilliamClouston Indeed a little contrition would go a long way, but he's never admitted (nor likely) to his mistakes.
They inherited a booming economy and didn't take the opportunity to leave a lasting positive legacy.
Constitutional vandalism and loss of control of migration were on his watch.
@LukeTryl Most of the population aren't energy experts, so wind and sun being renewable equating to "must be cheaper", is a very easy simplistic message for environmentalists to give. Cost of infrastructure, back supply, grid inertia etc is complicated.
Population is naturally "cakeist"!
@AaronBastani Yes to a Celtic language, which really means Welsh as it is actually spoken by a reasonable number of people.
We used to do Linguistics, so maybe a term of Latin and Greek as well. It's nothing nationalistic, just common sense to know language history and formation.
@fartelengelbert It's an ideal opportunity to put themselves forward on the national stage, until now, probably only political SM and Norfolk were aware of Restore.
Whether they have the manpower is another matter!
@RupertLowe10@RupertLowe10 , IMHO the naming of your party is wrong.
Restore name is too similar to Reform.
I understand you want to bring back the former glory, but that wasn't a bed of roses for the working class, we need a better way.
If you believe it, why not be the Christian Democrats
@AngloEsoterica@RupertLowe10 Based on that, even if Restore did split the vote, either Reform or Restore would get in.
Only danger is if Greens/Lib Dems/Tories want King Andy in place and puposely run lacklustre campaigns or positively promote Burnham.
@David3833580300@RupertLowe10 Restore showed what they can do when they can focus on a limited area. I'd imagine Lowe genuinely thinks they can do the same as in Greater Yarmouth.
@FUDdaily King Andy can be pragmatic.
All the signs for the Greater Manchester ULEZ were in place, but he backed down when faced with the backlash.
I suspect his political ambition outways his green credentials.
@LeRef5@FUDdaily NI have exceptions from the EU for the GFA, it's not a stretch to have similar with the ECHR until an alternative to GFA is agreed, it's a fudge that international institutions are perfectly capable of. NI MP's may kick off, but unless they have the balance of power, so what.
@NotTheTobes@FUDdaily@ollieparrot They need to get the equivalent of executive orders into their manifesto. I believe Danny Kruger recognises that, the threat from the Lords blocking is a big risk and I can't see them adding hundreds of Reform Lords as feasible, which could be the other way.
@john_mcguirk Burnham is Labour's Boris.
The uniparty has run out of ideas and they cry out for a saviour.
The country is broken and they don't know how to fix it. Not strictly true maybe, they may know, but they probably would find the method unpalatable.
