While I do think people can grow and change, there's a VERY fine line for that.

There are some people in this community who WERE creeps, and are STILL creeps. But they get a good ol slap on the wrist cause "they've changed."

When in reality, it's a blanket shield.

I can't blame the QRTs for having no context, but some of you are trying sooo hard to have moral high ground while having no idea what you're actually defending.

I know who this is primarily about, and they are an active creep + stalker who has BEEN getting enabled in creator circles for months. Myself and dozens of other creators have been targeted. This is not about someone with a "distant past," this is someone whose past AND present is them being awful & unchanging. But all we can ever do is vaguepost and keep taking it silently, because imagine what kind of flack we'd get if we actually called out this guy, or any of the others participating in this behavior.

I believe people can change. Over time. But if someone's entire past AND present in this community is being a rancid person doing CRIMES, stop being so desperate to enable them?? "Forgive the stalker creep whose actions have translated to the real world before" is wild lmao. I get this is Twitter, but wow, we are hopeless.
