Upholstery adventure part two. Adding muslin, then damask, then gimp! This is supposed to match my settee, which is from the same period with a similar pattern.
New upholstery adventure 1/2. Another carved rosewood piece (Dalbergia sissoo?). The modern upholstery was a bad job, kind of lumpy. The batting is original, check out that horse hair! I fixed the lumps using some raw wool from the same period but kept the rest.
