@pintandrew@signing_s Neither look authentic unfortunately. The “k” in Jack and “s” in Ramos actually suggest they were signed by the same person. You can do a deeper dive by cross checking the pen strokes it would take to produce these signatures against known-to-be-authentic samples.
@Mamy10284@CardPurchaser@Topps@Venmo@JeffMcNeil805 @Timitomson1 Sorry to hear. I would gather information and file a police report. I don’t believe Venmo will reverse it but you can probably also report the scammer to Venmo support. If you used a credit card you can contact your bank to dispute the transaction.
@DavidG_CSLP I would recommend consulting with a tax attorney. There’s very likely some Tax Court case that already exists on this topic. Until you find the support for it - something you can cite - don’t do it.
@AccountingAsArt The ex could also amend their return so that they are only claiming one child. I’m not sure however if your client would be able to successfully e-file since the child was already claimed previously. In that case, you would still need the paper file with support. Messy I know.
@AccountingAsArt 2/2: Otherwise they can get frozen out of claiming the child-related credits moving forward. If not amicable, you’ll have to paper file both the federal and state. Make sure you include copies of all needed HOH supporting documents with BOTH mailed federal and state returns.

If overheating takes place in the US and there is an eventual spike in interest rates driven either by the Fed or the markets, there will be enormous risks to an already fragile and over leveraged global economy.
I am far from certain that inflation will, on a calendar year basis, exceed 4 percent this year but I do not see given the first 5 months how anyone could fail to see this as a major risk. CPI inflation above 5 in 2021 is more likely than below 3.
Based on what I know, if the US further blocks key technology supply to Huawei, China will activate the "unreliable entity list", restrict or investigate US companies such as Qualcomm, Cisco and Apple, and suspend the purchase of Boeing airplanes.
