To safeguard the health and safety of our community, the VCCCD Board of Trustees has unanimously approved a policy mandating COVID-19 vaccinations for students & employees. Read more: https://t.co/kueJ6HL5Gw. #VCCCD#COVIDVaccination
The VCCCD agenda notes that some accommodations will be made for individuals who have a verifiable medical condition or strong religious believes that prevents them from taking the COVID-19 vaccination.
The Ventura County Community College District has approved a COVID-19 vaccine mandate for all campuses. Unvaccinated students will be unable to attend in-person classes or use in-person services. It will not affect students taking only online classes.
From tonight's @OfficialVCCCD board of trustees meeting: Trustees unanimously voted to approve a COVID-19 vaccine mandate which impacts Ventura, Oxnard and Moorpark colleges. They're looking at Oct. 30 implement date, meaning anyone coming on campus would have to be vaccinated.
All VCCCD employees will be required to be vaccinated if they are working on any campus or providing person-to-person services for the district. The decision follows the Chancellor of the California Community Colleges recommendation to issue a COVID-19 vaccine mandate on campuses
Today, Fire Control Worker Zack Gregson and his family will be accompanied by his crew as they escort him along Hwy 101 to his final resting place. Please pardon any disruptions this may cause. Our entire VCFD family thanks the community for their continued support.
JUST IN: Ventura County Public Health says it "strongly recommends" all community members, regardless of vaccination status, wear masks indoors in public places to "prevent further spread of COVID-19."
