no more https://t.co/COg8nJIKM2 for education....now what. What are other CS educators hoping to use moving forward (I'm panicking a bit about SEM 2) #onted#computerscience
Hard to know exactly what it’ll look like, but getting ideas ready for next year. Apparently if you soldier more, you do get better! #icd2o#ontariocodes@adafruit

Sorry for delay in response. I'm sure everyone is busy in their classrooms, lives, etc. Here is the code & wiring guide images. Its really simple code. The "magic numbers" - 400 & 700 - were determined via trial & error to increase sensitivity to range of materials in classroom.
@firekit@microbit_edu@InkSmith3D@infobml Micro:bit led screen + the display data on screen as graph provides some granulation, rather than a yes/no. Human hand was more conductive than paper, but less conductive than metal.
Dipping our toes into coding in #SNC1W w/ Inputs & Outputs to intro use. Super grateful for @InkSmith3D climate action kits and @microbit_edu. Link to Coding Lab - https://t.co/yXBFX2F3Fw #OntED@staoapso
Thinking of using @lisaannefloyd 's algebraic expressions and coding (https://t.co/F4vybc4Rht) idea and mixing it with Turtle Python for visualization and some tinkering to explore more of y=mx+b in #mth1w tomorrow. #ontariocodes#onted
@MsCowan123 @microbit_edu Extensions:…what other messages can you add to the code?…can you add an animation for the decision bubbling up to the surface?
Hahahahaha the government lawyer now talking about how asynchronous learning is bad for students because they are learning alone.
Then why will @Sflecce only allow students to fulfil the mandatory 2 online credits in asynchronous courses???
Thank you @FCLEdu for the @microbit_edu . @OCDSB schools will be receiving them to support coding in science from grades 1-8 and destreamed grade 9 science.
The new micro:bit Python editor is now in beta. 🎉
Packed with features designed to overcome some common barriers to starting out with text-based coding in class
Try it out now in your classroom and help to make it even better with your feedback

JUST ONCE, I want to be part of a staff meeting where the agenda reads ‘Things We Are Removing From Teacher Plates.’
In my 24 years of teaching, I’ve NEVER been this exhausted.
Teacher: I feel so exhausted all the time
Central Office: Have you tried yoga or running or meditation
Let’s stop telling teachers to do yoga and meditate (UNLESS that’s what they want and choose to do). Instead, let’s advocate for making teaching a sustainable career!
