Some people wait 365 days. Some wait years. Others wait a lifetime. For 300,000 of us, this is what we live for.
THIS. IS. MAY.
Welcome to the greatest month of the year, race fans. It's gonna be a big one.

It’s incumbent on all of us associated with the AT profession to pickup the megaphone, not just during the next 31 days, but every day.
We need to correct the narrative.
The future of delivering healthcare is with athletic trainers.
Their education and skill set will allow them to work in any sector of the economy they want and actually earn the money they deserve.
The pandemic proved it and we @go4ellis are excited to be a part of it all. 👊
Sycamore Nation - we are officially ranked.
We're ranked #23 in the AP Top 25 and #24 in the Coaches Poll.

As a soccer referee, I can attest this is true! It is also mind-boggling to consider the entry fee teams pay to play in a tournament. There is more than enough $$$ to go around!
Avg tournament soccer (U9-U19) referee in PA earns $45/game (25/30 halves).
Avg tournament lacrosse referee in FL earns $70/game
Avg tournament hockey referee in MI makes $65/game
Avg tournament baseball umpire in CA earns $75/game
Yet, these same operators balk at paying an AT $50/hr…
An AT who has six years of higher education…
A Masters Degree…
Is a Board Certified healthcare provider…
Can build/manage an Emergency Action Plan…
And then respond to the Emergency…
And save someone’s life.
Not hating on tournament referees - their job is hard and they deserve every $.
But not understanding what an AT brings to your event, camp, clinic, game, showcase, tournament and paying them LESS than a referee is a complete joke. 🫳🎤

This Thanksgiving, athletic medicine professionals will join many others to provide care and treatment while being away from family and friends. Please thank your athletic trainer and others for their commitment to athlete health, safety, and wellbeing this Thanksgiving.
Athletic Trainers …
We’re better together. It’s time to keep moving forward. We need everyones commitment to accomplish what’s best for the profession that changed my life!
@stephkuzy@krqe I would be more than happy to take 4 AEDs that they throw away. Please place them in one large garbage bag next to the dumpster at 10:15am and I’ll be there to pick them up.
Athletic Trainers at the secondary school level play a vital role in injury prevention, evaluation, and treatment. If your school/district is serious about the health and safety of athletes, ensure that ATs are present on the sidelines.
One thing you can't teach is hunger.
You can definitely help people unlock it.
But you can't MAKE them want it.
If the desire isn't there, it's because that person hasn't found their why yet.
