@tanisha_GMUN I agree! I believe it's important for Canadian radio stations to support Canadian artists. The quota is great for up-and-coming artists who are looking to have their music broadcasted to a larger audience. #mus2011
@CainesOriana I agree! I sometimes hear people complaining about Jigs & Reels, however, I always enjoy listening to Newfoundland music, as it is a large part of our cultural identity. #mus2011
@AndrewPG_98 Great point Andrew! I would love to see my favourite artists live in concert, however due to the costs associated with tickets and travel, it's rarely an option. #mus2011
@BilodeauReagan I agree! Live music isn't nearly as accessible as recordings, especially in Newfoundland. Travelling to see your favourite artists live can cost thousands of dollars, which for many people, makes attending concerts nearly impossible. #mus2011
@AlanaMus2011 I agree! It is completely unfair for white people to steal music from the true artist. In my opinion it removes the culture from the music completely. #mus2011
@BilodeauReagan Great point! I agree that cover songs can add some diversity to the music. However, when the original artist becomes overlooked, especially due to their race, it causes nothing but harm to the music industry. #mus2011
@JohnPurchase10 I agree! I believe being able to relate to music is extremely important. I find that songs I can relate to are much more enjoyable than songs that I can't develop a connection with. #mus2011
@timikayoung While I use Spotify personally, both platforms are very similar! I love how I can simply browse different playlists and charts, making it much easier to find music that I enjoy, while also making it easier to discover differnent genres that I didnt listen to in the past. #mus2011
@Spotify has really changed the way I enjoy to music. Before Spotify, I rarely listened to music because I didn't want to purchase each individual song that I liked. When using Spotify, it makes it much easier to find and listen to music that I enjoy and can relate to. #mus2011
@CainesOriana I agree that we as listeners often idolize the lifestyles of many wealthy artists. Yet, most of us can understand that many of the material items mentioned in their music are unnecessary when it comes to feeling successful. #mus2011
@DevonRyan1 I agree! Many songs demonize police officers, yet they risk their lives every day for our safety. As a result, many people wrongly treat these officers with disrespect. #mus2011
