@NGEHub@supermudspike@MarathonDevTeam How does that work? You’re telling me I wasn’t playing the free week right at launch because the free week didn’t start until after I started playing the free week? Interesting.
@PlayStation …the season hasn’t actually started yet due to the servers being down since launch, and we’re now under two hours away from tomorrow. Maybe schedule this post again for tomorrow?
Yeah. Awkwaaard.
@XTheDirectorX@MarathonDevTeam The moles are all the new players that strained the servers because of the free week, and Bungie is at fault for inviting all of them.
@Silverstime38@N3GL3CT_FOUNDER@MarathonDevTeam Exactly. Thank you. As a dev myself, it’s really hard to get people to understand this lol. Constant bitching about games when they don’t understand any of the granular shit that goes on behind the scenes.
@N3GL3CT_FOUNDER@MarathonDevTeam Because maybe they’re putting a patch together to fix a number of issues all at once instead of interrupting gameplay with numerous patches over the next 24 hours. Wait for a bigger patch or interrupt every couple hours to update the game again and again. Pick your poison.
@supermudspike@MarathonDevTeam DDOS is a cop out excuse for not scaling their servers enough for the strain of new players because of the free week. That’s far more embarrassing for them than a DDOS.
@Joeybatz35@MarathonDevTeam@asalisbury Or the servers were just strained and couldn’t scale with the load of new players because of the free week that started today.
@ctrljov@MarathonDevTeam It’s a free game to play for the next week. So there’s an influx of new players to support, and servers couldn’t handle the strain.
