Then I went to West Ham for our first away game. I walked over to take a corner and the abuse was unbelievable. But behind that goal, I could hear the Manchester United supporters singing my name. They stood by me when everyone else seemed to have turned against me.

That moment calmed me. It reminded me that whatever happened with England, I had a family at Manchester United. That season, we went on to win the Treble.
