The Deputy President has just ruled more Liberal questions out of order for being repetitive.
The Liberals are repeating themselves ad nauseum to stop the electoral integrity bill.
Just passed 1am in the Legislative Council.
The Liberals are doing everything they can to stop electoral funding integrity legislation.
Mostly that’s just using AI to generate endless questions.
The attack at Bondi is extremely distressing.
Instead of light, there is darkness.
My thoughts are with everyone affected tonight, especially those in the Jewish community celebrating Chanukah.
The cowardly and hateful arson attack at the East Melbourne Synagogue must be absolutely condemned.
The city shule is a warm and welcoming place.
My thoughts are with Rabbi Gutnick and the entire congregation.
Hate must stop.
Excuse 3: Preferences
Labor preferenced the Greens #2.
In 2010 Adam relied on Liberal preferences to get elected (75% of them). Every time since he’s been elected on preferences.
This time was his primary vote fell from 49.6% in 2022 to 40% in 2025.
Just watched Bandt on 7.30. Few quick thoughts on his 3 excuses:
Excuse 1: Redistribution
Adam himself last year said the change ‘struck a fair and independent balance’. The voters in South Yarra and Prahran knew the Greens; they’d had a Greens MP at a State level for a decade
Peter Dutton is a disgrace and must apologise immediately.
Josh Burns (@joshburnsmp) has been steadfast in his support for the Jewish community, and had his own office vandalised in an antisemitic attack.
Violent attacks on MP offices are reprehensible and must be condemned.
Josh Burns and his team work hard for our local community. They have done nothing to provoke attempted arson on their place of work.
All leaders should stand against violence such as this.
Flood inquiry interim report, which makes six findings primarily focused on northern Victoria has been tabled at the Legislative Council’s regional sitting in #Echuca. ▶️ Watch Chair @ryanbatchelor outline the report: https://t.co/K7CJHJw9Xc. #springst https://t.co/UvlUSH77sJ
Terrible news out of Israel.
The indiscriminate attacks on Israeli cities and civilians must be condemned.
As Israel rightly defends itself we must stand with its people tonight and join a unified call for an end to this aggression.
Australia unequivocally condemns the attacks on Israel by Hamas including indiscriminate rocket fire on cities & civilians.
We call for these attacks to stop & recognise Israel’s right to defend itself.
Australia urges the exercise of restraint & protection of civilian lives.
Latest research from @theMJA highlights e-cigarette use in Aussie teens, suggesting a multi-level approach - from individuals to communities - to stop a new generation getting hooked on nicotine. More on the dangers of vaping at https://t.co/SaUx4xrQAv or via Quitline 13 78 48.
@FionaHPatten Honestly I’m more concerned about children being poisoned than recycling.
Vapes should be behind the counter at pharmacies, prescribed by doctors if they see a medical benefit in cigarette addiction.
The Liberal Party and Sky News are trying to stop me from telling people I’ll be voting Yes.
It won’t work.
These corflutes were approved and paid for by Parliamentary Services. There’s no breach of any rules.
If you want one too, please contact my office on Monday.

Two Vic Labor MPs have been caught in breach of rules around display of material outside their electorate office. Ryan Batchelor and Sonja Terpstra’s office windows include signage indicating “I’ll be voting Yes” or in Terpstra’s case - “Vote Yes”. DPS says it’s not allowed.
@crikey_news@BernardKeane Nope. This would be an absolute public health disaster.
Children are rapidly learning addictive habits and then inhaling a dangerous cocktail of chemicals.
We can’t wave the white flag.
