@ppuliu@Netlify@vercel They both offer serverless functions, so, depending on what you're doing you probably don't need a backend. Write some code as a function, deploys with everything else, and just works. @nextjs takes this further and it's all integrated. Great stuff.
Wow! Companies like @Netlify and @vercel are making it so easy to spin up new sites. It's true that there has never been a better time to start a tech company, you can go from idea to production in weeks. 😀
Watch this company, they're going to go far! @byteboardDev - @justsargs and @nhardsonhurley have created something really great and engaging and I wouldn't be surprised if this was the interview process in a few years. #noleetcode
@ShawnaCodes Two random #leetcode questions answered by #copilot. Again, I only typed the comments out and the solution and tests were all written for me. If you can articulate what you want in English soon AI/ML will be able to write the code for you.
I know I'm late to the #copilot party but this tech is going to increase developer productivity by 20-50% in the next decade, easily. I only wrote the two comments below and copilot wrote all the code! Is it perfect? No. But it's a great starting point!
@Hoffm@byteboardDev Also hearing from friends that code reviews, testing, and bug fixing are becoming more common in interviews too. This is like half our jobs as devs so it makes sense to test for it!
Two new non-#leetcode interview styles I hope catch on. Bring your own code: you and the interviewer go over a recent project you've worked on & work on it live. Choose your own question, where the interviewer has 3-5 real-world questions that the interviewee gets to choose from
I would love to know how many emails get sent out daily with: "see attached", or "I've attached" but the person forgot to attach the item. :-) Gmail will try to alert you of this, why don't other email clients?
After putting it off for years I finally switch my email off of Google. I switched to @Fastmail with a custom domain so I'm in control of my email and it feels very liberating. It will take a year to convert accounts over but it's a start!
My team was affected by last week's layoffs.
If you're looking for smart, dedicated content folks in the Americas, APAC or EMEA, I'd love to make some connections!
After over 7 years that's a wrap @Twitter. Honestly the best job I've ever had. So many amazing and smart people that not only care about the product but also their coworkers and customers. #LoveWhereYouWorked#OneTeam
@wizpip@AdoreCelebs@GeorgeKearse @Saturn1n9 @Twitter Thanks Phillip, but trust me, as someone who has worked on this platform for years this is a battle that is not worth fighting. 👊 You and I might get our enjoyment spending time with friends/hobbies - these people get their dopamine hit from arguing anonymously on the internet
@ShadesOfRani@Twitter No, you're not right, just misinformed. I get it, there's a lot of people making money off pushing their agenda on you and it's hard to filter through it. Good luck and best of luck fighting your /righteous/ fight here or anywhere. 🤟
@Schwa117@elonmusk@CaseyNewton I'm already see this 😔 The trending tab in explore is empty with no useful context and it's useless now. Topics and sports scores will be gone too as they left one eng to handle the entire knowledge graph. No eng left on the misinformation policy tooling right before midterms.
@jackiegalgey @Twitter Thanks, Jackie. We created some great products over the last couple of years and accomplished some great things. Here's to the future and best of luck on your future journey! 🍻
