I feel like when I ask AI to do something that I think is complex, and then it does it in 0.0005 seconds, regardless of the output it makes me feel that there’s gotta be something wrong with its answer.
ChatGPT now loads its answer before you even hit send, so it’s almost instant. And this makes it feel wrong for some reason. As if my brain can’t comprehend the speed and my base assumption is that it can’t be correct.
@staysaasy Imagine what it would be like to wake up having never gone to sleep. And then imagine what it would be like to go to sleep and never wake up again.
Being "stuck" is fake in actuality. You can feel the EMOTION of being stuck, and you can confuse the combination of that emotion/feeling + perceived mental "options" in front of being sub-par AS 'being stuck', but those additions together equaling "actual stuckness" = a false conclusion.
Stuckness is an indecision problem due to lack of information / acceptance of potential downside of 1 or both routes. You see two routes in front of you that you are currently perceiving as "not optimal", and the lack of estimation (or being able to see) a better route (or a route with a higher downside) makes you go nowhere, because that seems less attractive then where you are now. You'd rather have today's okayness over the chance of future you's not okayness.
This situation is essentially a war between what you value most, right now. And by right now meaning this chapter of your life. That's really it. And way you get through this is IMO by attacking lowest-hanging fruit version of thing that excites you the most. "shitty first draft" in right direction
The emotion that's stopping you here (if you were to run this out) is feeling like you made the move & are still unsatisfied/powerless. The way to reclaim your own power over this emotion is to realize even if you did feel unsatisifed or powerless or like you missed out, you'd still be there, okay, ready to something else
Imbuing your own future 'okayness' into any & all options can help you move. That + knowing even if you can't see your 'favorite and perfect option' right now, that's fine, because that situation is built while IN movement, not 'seen from the front'.
You can mold/bend most things towards what you want, just not right in the beginning. The privilege of stamping it with your essence is earned after enough forward movement has been put it in to be able to even see where to bend it
Feel, guess, go, solve on the fly
@BlondB00 The time I underwent a root canal (as well as the preceding pain that it was solving) was a transformative experience that gave me a new appreciation of 21st century civilization
you swear to God that no one understands your suffering then you read a little history to find people endured what you thought was purely fictional. we have it good. extremely good. while you’re tearing down society for being corrupt, at least be thankful that when your mother undergoes surgery she gets anaesthesia.
for all you know, this could be your last summer.
as homer wrote, you will never be lovelier than you are right now. so tell her she has a pretty smile. get lean or become a unit. find wonder in boarding the airplane. drink more coffee than you need. walk on the beach until your feet hurt. write your girlfriend a note on a tuesday. waste money because its not all about retirement. pull over at the lookout. ask the uber driver about his life. tell the woman in the elevator you like her shoes and mean it. call your mother. ask the waiter his favorite thing on the menu and order that.
theres so much life in the slow moments, and you sprint past it chasing the next thing. but at any time, in any situation, you can find the good. smile. be happy. recognize it for a one of one life experience. what good is walking around a curmudgeon when tomorrow could be curtains.
for heavens sake, flirt with the world.
Solo-entrepreneurship as a first timer is an incredibly eye opening experience. Every time you find something that you didn’t know, that’s another rabbit hole to jump down
@WarSageX He’s right, in that becoming highly competent in almost any domain will naturally make you a strong candidate for partnership in all realms of life
Feels like life is a continuous game of “Where’s Waldo?” In that we are always being put into personally novel positions of difficulty and tasked with noticing all the blessings and little joys of our current moment
@Wotr313752@DailyLoud Especially because most schools and the faculty themselves are not subject to the same sink or float forces of the market, and get artificially propped up. Not a great lesson for budding entrepreneurs
@Polymarket I don’t understand this. If anything, the amount of valuable output is what fries my brain, when treating LLMs as a cofounder. Sometimes I have to slow it down to better coexist with my monkey brain
