Syracuse defender Riley Figueiras was named co-ACC defensive player of the week honors with UNC’s Brady Wambach.
Figueiras helped Syracuse defeat Denver and Georgetown, where he held Rory Connor without a hat trick for the first time all season.

If I am picking one @CuseMLAX player to build a team around, I'm taking Riley Figueiras.
Riley flies under the radar, capable of erasing a dodging threat while also directing traffic off ball. Incredible combo.
And, Defense wins championships.
Don't think this has been reported yet, but @CuseMLAX lost a projected starter in mid-October when @Inside_Lacrosse's No. 1 incoming defender and No. 6 freshman Riley Figueiras went down with a season-ending knee injury. He'll redshirt and look to return for fall ball.
I know the 22 is the bigtime number at Cuse. But a freshman is also wearing 11. The two numbers both going to 1st year players is enough to make someone realize just how loaded this class is looking.
