This feels lite on return for Mariners given the years of control they lose but also feels like it detracts from the Cubs lineup quite a bit.

K/9, BB/9, WHIP, FIP, and xFIP.

Those better AWAY from T-Mobile:

Gilbert’s BB/9 is 0.18 better
Gilbert’s FIP is 2.07 better
Kirby’s BB/9 is 0.29 better

Every other stat is WORSE.

Maybe trading arms for bats wouldn’t be so bad.

Mariners aren’t doing themselves or him any favors. Rob Refsnyder has a wRC+ of 24 for the season.

Since May 1st, it’s 11.

He needs a change and so does the team.

Mariners… Refsnyder has hit for a wRC+ of 24 since May 1st. Somehow worse than how he started in March and April (42).

Pereda deserved to stick with the club and have Garver take over whatever role Refsnyder is supposed to be doing.
