@MBTA Could you please provide an update on the opening of the Community Path in Somerville? At last update it was due in April. With the Orange and Green Lines highly unreliable and biking on streets a death-defying experience, the Path is needed urgently. Thanks. @MattForWard1
@MBTA@MassDOT
6:36pm arrive at East Somerville station
6:50 train arrives, made to hold for 3 mins
6:53 train departs, goes 2 stops
7:00 arrive Science Park, made to change trains
7:10 depart Science Park
7:13 arrive N Station
37 mins for 3 stops - is this good enough????
@streamside1070@carsNbikelane@SomervilleInfr1@311Somerville Thanks for pointing that out, John! Any engineer can tell us that there are dozens of ways to cover expansion joints that make them safe for all users. We all deserve to safely move about our community, even if it’s not in a car. Have a good one!
@BOS311 13 Caldwell St in Charlestown, continuing issue with parking on the sidewalk. Please note child on training wheel bike veering into oncoming traffic to avoid car blocking the sidewalk. Please ticket or tow. Thanks.
@MBTA@MassDOT I’m on an orange line shuttle between Community and North Station - why is the “bus only” lane of the Gilmore Bridge absolutely choked with cars? This only works with actual enforcement…
@MBTA@CityOfBoston@BostonBTD A needed step - and enforcement will be critical! As a bus and bike rider, I see that cars feel free rein to block these lanes ALL the time.
@MBTA Understood. Unfortunately it was indeed at least 16 minutes between trains this morning during the rush - outside guidelines. A big difference when deciding whether to bike or ride the T in the morning!
@MBTA understanding that the reduced service this summer calls for orange line trains every 8-11 minutes, I’m curious how current headways are at least 16 minutes on the OL inbound during the morning rush? No service announcements about issues that I’ve seen…
@ddisabatino@MelissaJGeorge Great Melissa - I’m close with the mayor, she did say she was looking for well-educated opinions on a health crisis from people in… Hanson, MA, yep. I’ll run this up the chain. I’m just glad you kept open this Twitter so you can communicate with her. Have a great day!
