@64Analytics Would love to see a correlation between defense errors, stolen bases give up, walks, hit by pitches to wins and losses. There has to be a differential or a certain number to be under that would govern the best correlation to wins on the defensive/pitching side of the game.
Baseball is an easy sport: don't K, take BBs, & keep your opponent from doing the same. 2 quick graphs: 1) schools with best K/BB for hitting & pitching 2) the second combines those, ranks them, and then found an 81.4% correlation to winning. Simple, but fun graphics to prove it.
@latsondheimer I’d take the guy throwing 90mph all day over the guy throwing 84mph…. Easier to teach command to a hard thrower than it is to have a slow thrower throw hard.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto with the gutsiest pitching performance ever.
World Series G2: 9 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 8 K, W
World Series G6: 6 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 6 K, W
World Series G7: 2.2 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 1 K, W
He is the undisputed World Series MVP. He is the best pitcher on the planet.
Jacob McCombs is garnering increased attention from the scouting community lately as he continues to mash for @UCIbsb. He just launched his team-leading seventh homer of the year and increased his average to .389. Certainly a name to follow.
