Nothing drives me more crazy than asking me for the content in 72 hours which i deliver, then taking 30 days (or more) to pay me.

Then some brands surprise me with pay within 48 hours even on net30.

This is just mass low-cost ad testing for brands.

As an ecommerce brand owner i get the strategy but as a creator it’s not something i would do, but these kind of posts get lots of replies…

@closermethod Yep exactly. But my floor was extremely high with usage rights and whitelisting and the base rate. Guess it wasn’t high enough lol. But given the brand size and product / customer LTV i should have aimed higher.. but all good :)

That feeling you get when you throw out a big number to a large brand and they reply with “we are aligned on rate” within 10 min of sending the email…

Doh! Should have thrown out a bigger number 😂

But really it shows you are pricing correctly and know your value.

I can’t stress how much you need to send followup emails (several) if you are cold pitching brands.

I get most of my work via pitching and probably 75% or more of my replies come from the followup emails i sent 5-10 days after the initial one.

I have booked some big jobs lately via cold email pitching and all of those came from the followup emails.

Just because you don’t get a response from your first email, don’t call that a loss… keep following up, brands are busy and things fall down their inboxes.
