@LarsLarsonShow If ownership of the Trailblazers were turned over to the citizens of Portland in an arrangement similar to Green Bay, support would be higher. But that would be called Communism by those in the Epstein class, because such a move would hurt their fee-fees and bruise their egos.
@RealJimWiz1@LibertyPDX1 He wrestled Heavyweight, so if you were in a match with him, that's a given. He was a team captain for WOU football before transferring to OSU to study engineering.
@RealJimWiz1@LibertyPDX1 Ugh, the days of Salem Alliance Church, Promisekeepers, and those Oregon Citizens Alliance knuckleheads. Back when Rosebud & Fish was a 'controversial' bookstore downtown and the local Creative Pasttimes shop had the Satanic Panic folks angry because they sold D&D games.
@dubseatv They have had trains capable of those speeds for many decades now. The limitation now is the track, both in terms of quality and of geometry. Many sections are quite curvy, which is fine for heavy, slow freight, but prevent higher speeds altogether.
@ZachsORoutdoors It is what the population calls it. The people have independently decided to negate the 'official' name in favor of 'Silver Creek Falls" and thus, that is what it now shall be. The rest is just paperwork to correct.
@LibertyPDX1 Look at the weather. They are all over at the coast, staying cool. I heard a bunch were windsurfing up in Hood River, too. I know several that strapped on their boots and are hiking the PCT before fire season kicks off.
@humantransit I used to call this the "Skinny Chef" theory. The best chefs are constantly taste-testing the food they make, which leads to gaining a few extra pounds. Skinny chefs probably aren't, so the likelihood that they are paying proper attention to the quality of the food is lower.
@HistorianUSA1 I see the same from Mexicans when they see tomatoes being promoted as an Italian thing. Or Chinese when they see Italian noodles. Or Bolivians when they see Latvians or Poles acting like potatoes are their national food.
@KGWNews Good burgers, bad fries. Go ahead and try it once (animal style), but don't set your expectations that high. I found Seattle's @Burgermaster to be superior.
@pdxpragmatist It is potentially life-threatening to those with heart conditions, you absolute pillock. Heart issues are the cause of death for 1 in 5 Oregonians.

@humantransit This is largely due to thermal expansion with the catenary wires and/or rail, yes? What equipment hardening strategies might be available to mitigate this problem?
