I'm getting back into freelancing. If you're looking to add Senior Laravel Engineering talent but aren't really ready to commit to a full time hire, we might be a good fit.
I am looking for 2-4 clients wanting 1-3 days a week each (no more than 5 days a week total).
No lengthy project scoping or hourly tracking, just a fixed monthly rate for a set number of day(s) each week, just like a salaried employee. But without the cost of benefits, payroll taxes, or hassles. Independent contractor, billed though Stripe so they handle the 1099 and you don't have to.
Follow the link in my bio and add your email if you're interested and I'll be in touch as I launch Ship Well Development.
@PovilasKorop I actually like Pi. Haven't tried Oh My Pi. I like being able to say I want to change/extend x and my agent can write an extension to do it, reload Pi and I have the new capability.
@bi02247255 Mine has I think they call it panaoramic sunroof. Think sunroof but nearly as big as the roof itself. I will sometimes open it on a nice day. But even closed but uncovered is kinda nice if its not the dead of summer.
I'm just going off of the fact that usually those who talk about a "software factory" and showing off some fully end to end automated system to go from idea to app.
That's just not an approach that I find works for me. For me I will thoroughly spec things out. I will use GPT 6 Astra (though I am now beginning to experiment with 6.1 Sol instead) to review and dial in the spec. Opus 5.5 to implement. And Astra/Sol again as an automated code review step before I manually review.
I even turned the automated code review into a CLI tool and setup claude code with a hook to fire off the CLI after linting and running the test suite when it finishes writing code. so it will automatically format the code, and resolve any test failures or issues raised by automated code review.
I wouldn't call it a software factory but if you do, to each their own.
@owenthcarey I still prefer Astra for planning and code review. I think it goes a bit deeper. But I do find the code Opus 5.5 writes is slightly better than Astra IMO. So I end up using both.
They convinced me to move back to Opus 5.5 for coding, in spite of being stuck with their harness. I still use Astra though for making markdown specs and code review.
I think the future isn't either/or, it's both/and. And I say this as someone who really despises how Anthropic treats its consumers with the Apple locked down ecosystem approach to coding harnesses.
@thsottiaux No matter how you try to spin it, we are getting half as much for the same price. I'd rather you were just honest and say that you don't have the capacity to keep offering it, instead of this.
