@jwz Dang, and you don't have a keyboard to press 5 and play with the PROM... you can unplug the HDD and whip it around (head may be sticking to the platter) and plug it back in - it's worked plenty of times for me for old drives with stiction. I _could_ send you a replacement drive.

@jwz @NanoRaptor @jwz an Extron RGB-HDMI 300A plus VGA-to-13W3 cable will work wonderfully for your dongle needs. The Extron can be purchased used for $50-100 on eBay as lots of users upgraded to newer 4K adapters (super overkill for legacy UNIX or Mac systems)
