I don't buy Keith Richards's saying "Brown Sugar" is a critical look at slavery.🤦♂️
My take on the 50-year-old hit the Rolling Stones have stopped playing @dwnews@dw_culture
@jnbarrett @bowls97 @JordanUhl "build their own utopias" as folks rights are stripped away. This is why federal government is supposed to exist, to prevent our rights from being decided by the majority
Every single American should be shown this in school and know the context behind it. It’s impossible to describe how horrifically evil the CIA and Bush administration was.
All the pause has done is made sure this settled law is a topic of conversation well after it would have faded from public discourse. It wasn’t going to be an issue in November until these fools made it one. Useless leadership.
It's discouraging to think about how close we were to a truly transformed New York, even with a less-than-perfect congestion pricing plan. Watching it slip away is depressing. Watching people excuse all of this is depressing. We have to keep fighting. A better city is possible.
Funny (haha) how defensive the anti-congestion pricing accounts and commentators are getting now that the costs of their hollow victory are becoming more clear. No ADA upgrades, no 2nd Ave Subway extension. That’s what you all - and especially the Post opinions section - wanted.
