@MattWalshBlog Kids feel really empowered "when they're a big help!"
Doesn't matter what you're doing or how ridiculous the given role is. Have them participate with you on some level and praise them for being helpful. Start young.
No. He's correct. You just misunderstand priory.
Parents pay because church and community have broken down and people would rather pay than put effort into something that could be free.
The South could possibly pull this off with a parent at home. But they're watching football.
@CalWilliamsComm America's long ago started preferring to purchase their way out of anything that looks like effort.
Church and communities been broken down. Neighborhoods are gated and fenced off. Both parents are working.
The South could make this work, but they're watching football.
@jakehasleft You can absolutely replace these costs with parental effort, volunteerism, and organization.
The reality is most Americans would rather pay for ease of use.
This is a cultural problem, not a governmental problem.
@Yimbymanatee Swimming is fun. You often have to force the kids to stay in soccer when she sign them up.
They don't watch soccer, or have heroes in soccer. That's the difference.
@Nofgivenatall Capitalism. It's cold as s*** there and they drink a lot.
Also, Canadian whiskey sucks. Just ask Canadians. They're more pissed about it than we are.
@CamusOverEasy Cool. Now mention the part where impoverished Americans still have a higher standard of living than the lower half of Norwegians. Also for the record, roughly 36% of all Americans have free healthcare.
@tsigalkoesque More a clashing a perspectives. Our perspective is that of abundance, and anything can be accomplished even as an underdog.
It seems the rest of the world is just plain given up.
I promise you, if anything, we'd wish for you to feel the way we do.
