@zermatist Don't we lwarn at age 14 that judging an album on one listen is pointless? It takes at least three listens for *any* album to click. Exile is packed with top tier Stones songs. Let It Loose, Shine A Light, Rocks Off, Sweet Virginia, Happy, Tumbling Dice, Torn and Frayed, etc.
@IsItAnyWonder1@qikipedia The guy who plays Wizard in Taxi Driver (the older cab driver who gives Travis advice) was John Lennon's best man when he married Yoko (Peter Boyle).
@NothyngI@decoyrobot I don't know who he means, but at a guess...
Oasis, Blur, Pulp and Supergrass
Obviously the best British band of the era was Radiohead.
@Bestofsopranos I rewatched it one time and imagined him with a cockney gangster accent and it hit home just how sleazy and gross he was. Imagined some fat East End cokehead sleeping with strippers and any mystique he had slipped away.
@Callum067726509@oakseyboo I'm so sick of all the same posts saying 'anyone else not interested in the WC?'
I swear a lot of it is bots cos the exact same boring sentiment keeps popping up.
WC will be class, like it always is.
@MajArTre@MDBarton97 The odd part was Lee Dixon then going off on some tangent saying 'I can think of a few more', but 'best not say'. It just left everyone thinking... Where's he going with this?
@jontranslates@DaveyBilo I was watching in a pub and only half-caught what he said. Was it after the 'Tall-Blacks' comment and him saying 'I won't say the obvious one' or something like that?
@harvey_walters_ Brazil just beat Egypt 2-1. What does this tell us? Nothing. For as long as I can remember, pre-WC friendlies have never had any bearing at all on how teams perform in the tournament proper.
