Notre Dame Junior Defenseman Shawn Lyght has won the Tewaarton Award, given to the nation’s top men’s lacrosse player.

Lyght is the first ever defenseman to win the award, and second Irish player to receive it after Pat Kavanaugh won in 2024. The New Jersey native has now become one of the most decorated players in Notre Dame lacrosse history.
