@CJ_Hende @micamaryjane WHAT.
If anyone knows who this woman is, there are some Things I would like to Say to her. (I promise not to tell her with a basebal bat or other blunt instrument...Pinky Swear!)
Why is it that we use the word "allegedly" to describe every potential legal infraction except entering the country without proper documentation? Why are we ceding to their talking points and using words like "illegal" at all?
It's disturbing to watch police jump right away to "he was armed" as justification. Useful to remember a few things here:
-Just because the police say it doesn't make it true
-Being armed is not a crime
-We have a system in this country called "due process" https://t.co/dh1M9jPore
The protests were in opposition to continual police violence against Black people which is what Stonewall & Pride originated as. Literally the purpose & original spirit of Pride/Stonewall Riots. No “mission of inclusivity” can be honest without acknowledging this oppression. https://t.co/YQZEJmRqF4
Quick! We have to get video of him Actually Taking to A Gay Person!
Try talking to one of them, Ricard!! You can do it!
"...uhhhh...you having a...good day...here? *mumble mumble*" https://t.co/JOBF5e0YYL
The Pride Festival was what it took to get a smile out of Richard.
He was on the front line of the fight to legalize same-sex marriage and is urging congress to add sexual orientation and gender identity to the Civil Rights Act.

It’s often forgotten that the Minnesota Lynx were the first team to speak out against police brutality. I talked to Maya Moore about that decision and her commitment to criminal justice reform
Just say Jews, you're not dogwhistling with that description, you're shouting into a bullhorn given Jake Tapper's a straight-shooting reporter and so the only reason for you to single him out and call him a "regime change enthusiast" is that he's Jewish.
Power OVER (controlling)
Power WITH (laboring)
Power THROUGH (connecting the other two types of power)
VERTICAL : hierarchical institutions
HORIZONTAL : collectives
DIAGONAL : connections made between points of hierarchical power and individual members of collectives
Is fascinating that when people suggests ICE be abolished the reaction by some is to say “but what would you replace it with!” as if ICE was a part of the constitution & we’ve never operated without it. It was created in 2003. It’s far from a requisite feature of our government.
I find it most interesting that some DFLers talked about undoing the past instead of working to help people like Hmong elders to vote in the future. I see this. And I am taking notes. https://t.co/jxzZGVPUlZ
