Friends of Ryebank Fields Determined to protect this much loved rewilding community urban GREENFIELD land from the threat of development by Manchester Met Uni💚
@RosieP4@_BoldPolitics As he’s talking about urban communities here they could start with a hard line on protecting all green spaces in cities, it’s a policy in the NPPF and yet greenfield development is still being approved in Manchester despite there being a surplus of brownfield land here 🤷🏾♀️
Thank you for recognising this @ZackPolanski - here’s a handful of the 4,000+ people who want to protect Manchester’s #RyebankFields. We’d love to show you round next time you’re in town - maybe you can succeed where Manchester Labour haven’t yet..
🔔 5 minutes to #SaveRyebankFields 💚 Details in these pics, or email [email protected] & ask them to designate Ryebank Fields as a *Local Green Space* - include your name and address 📧 Have other Manchester groups applied to be a protected #LocalGreenSpace ?
Removing environmental protections will
NOT help you own a home or lower your rents. Bats are not stoping infrastructure.
The government is scapegoating nature so they don't have to tackle the REAL issue since that would hurt landlords and developers profits!!
@patrickkpearce@ManMetUni@SouthwayHousing@Step_Places 🙏🏻 We sent a letter including a link to this film to #ManMetUni Governors ahead of their meeting a week ago, with an invitation to meet with us. Not so much as an acknowledgment received from any as yet. Perhaps we’ll have more luck with @ManCityCouncil planning committee 🤔
