I work in Government Communications. All opinions/complaints about sports are mine. Trying my best to root for Cubs, Bears, Blackhawks, Illini, Phx Suns.
Might be difficult to do this in season, but there is no question the injuries have to be due to ineptitude from the training staff. There is ZERO chance it is a coincidence, all injury prone guys (def a few), bad luck, or just randomness. Something is seriously wrong within.
Still can't hit bad pitching with RISP. #Cubs can't possibly be out of options on how to hit with RISP. And if they are, fire the hitting coach who should have been let go a long, long, long time ago
Palencia been fine in his limited opportunities but it is BEYOND time to fire someone. Another series loss to LITERALLY THE WORST TEAM IN BASEBALL. But actually, the #Cubs are the worst team in baseball. Season over. Move the fuck on from literally all coaches and Jed.
The #cubs may literally never win another series the rest of the year, and that is not being facetious. We faces an EIGHT ERA pitcher tonight, then a 6.5 ERA reliever at COORS FIELD and have one run on 3 hits. It will literally never end. Worst Cubs team in history
And the #Cubs have already lost this game + the series in Colorado. It. Just. Won't. End. Cannot have Rea come out and miss the zone then throw meatballs, and he does. I just don't know how long you believe keeping things the same will eventually lead to wins. Fire someone
Who gets fired tomorrow? No one, I'm sure. Just business as usual losing ANOTHER series to ANOTHER shitty team AT HOME. Bregman now the target of absolutely futility (he's been awful, honestly) and it's just a rotating door of who sucks next. Bunch of fucking losers
When are we going to stop pretending these swing and base running decisions are on the players (every time) and not a microcosm of downright terrible managing and coaching? This #Cubs team is talented but now can't figure out how to beat garbage teams at Wrigley. Fire someone

And the OBSESSION with having the lineup go left-right-left-right etc. can't possibly be stood up by any analytics or statistics when you factor in that these hitters suck and have zero clutch. But it'll be rinse repeat next game
Or why not CC as well who simply will not give up with throwing the same lineup over and over again featuring Breg-Suzuki-Happ interchange Suz and Happ, doesn't matter. Nothing has changed. We still can't score runs we still lose to shitty teams we still suck.
When does the axe fall on hitting coach Dustin Kelly? This #Cubs team - no doubt in my mind - will leave this season the all-time leader in pop-ups. Nothing more frustrating than seeing a team with "hitting talent" like this just be so incredibly futile
@Cubs Ownership needs to grow some balls and fire the manager and/or hitting coach. Nothing about this team shows they will come out of it on their own and start magically hitting again and winning. Can't win a series, losers of 7 straight home games is beyond embarrassing

Another meh start for the #Cubs offense against a 5 ERA bum. Good thing I went to last night's game and saw the only win. Boy, I wish my team cared enough about rivalries. Swept by Brewers, tie Pirates, now lose to Cards. Sorry baseball
Absolutely not resigning Shota. Just like the offense, really good, then really fucking awful. Can't sustain the awful and the homeruns. #Cubs need some velocity for God's sake
Counsell out here thinking "eventually Happ and Suzuki will hit again just leave em there" amid a 10-game losing streak where those 2 kill rally after rally after rally. #Cubs deserve better coaching
And then another random role player low in the batting order with only one or 2 homers hits one to blow this open in the 1st. Cubs lose their 10th straight in the first fucking inning. Great
The offense has been the issue and ik we are on our 8th or 9th SP option, but these #Cubs pitchers are just throwing meatballs and missing all in the zone and the other offenses are capitalizing. Wicks left a 2-strike 83-mph change right down the middle to Reynolds. Woof.
