It’s sick to see how many Europeans came over here to actually enjoy US culture. Saw a guy look at a Bucee’s gas station the same way I’d look at Stonehenge
The Buccaneers’ home opener comes against Baker Mayfield’s former Browns team.

HALL OF FAME TALENT.
Quite a staff purge by the Bucs and HC Todd Bowles.
Fired: Offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard, QBs coach Thad Lewis, special teams coordinator Thomas McGaughey,
defensive line coach Charlie Strong, defensive backs coach Kevin Ross. Safeties coach Nick Rapone, 69, and senior offensive consultant Tom Moore, 87, plan to retire.
A significant change for #Bucs coach Todd Bowles: He’s firing OC Josh Grizzard, per The Insiders.
There could be other staff changes. But Baker Mayfield will have a new play-caller.

Now that I have graded every snap Baker Mayfield will take in the 2025 season, I can draw some conclusions.
First of all, his average game grade after he tore his oblique was 2.7. He was clearly much worse than his incredible 3.8 average in the first 6 games, but it’s still very good.
A 2.72 is grade-B, and would make him a top 10 QB. Playing without your entire starting OL and your top 3 WRs has a way of obscuring that very good PERFORMANCE on the stat sheet. There is no stat for extending plays in the pocket, making no-look throws, or even throwing accurate balls that get dropped (eyes on you, Emeka Egbuka). This is why we chart.
Mayfield’s deep ball was a lot worse this year, largely because he just couldn’t throw the ball as far or as easily. Whereas Baker threw a post route 65 yards without any wind-up against Seattle, he was struggling to push it 50 yards after his injuries piled up. Once Evans went down, the Bucs also just lacked a deep threat. Egbuka, Godwin, and Shepherd are just… slow. And small. Tez Johnson is great, but he almost never runs the proper route.
On the whole, Baker was really good in 2025. Here’s hoping the 2026 roster and coaching staff makes it more obvious to the casual observer.
