When I was young, women were a source of inspiration for us. We started bands, worked out and tried dress cool, and worked 70 hours a week to have money to take them on cool dates.
When they broke our hearts, we made films; wrote songs; became comedians.
Women in 2026 are mentally ill shrubbery: I barely notice it the first time, and don’t care if I ever see it again.
There is no light or magic in their eyes. Their voices are nails on a chalkboard. Their bodies are neglected playgrounds with busted creaky springs.
They’re never looking at you. They now only look at themselves. They’ve become sad, lifeless husks of human beings; obsessed with shiny things and that next incremental fraction of attention.
This is why art sucks and homosexuality is on the rise.
Our muses saw themselves and became stone.
This is so sad…
Music reflects and impacts culture in such deep and personal ways. Songs radiate hope, love, dreams, behavior, and passion (sex/anger/greed). They slowly seep into the subconscious of the next generation.
Below are most common words in the top songs for the last 20 years for rap and country music.
They paint nearly incompatible pictures of life. One is the foundation of society. The other is a broken hollow culture.
I was today years old when I learned like the psychological and neuroplasticity benefits of sitting by a fire and staring at it. Every single thing you see is completely random. There's no predictive element to it. So it forces your brain to accept the reality that it has no idea what is coming next and puts you in a highly narrow, responsive state so that you can have more open conversations, be a little bit more susceptible to new ideas, which is so why so many powerful friend to friend conversations happen around a campfire.

I've always gotten the unshakeable sense that in the end, it all evens out.
The guy with a six-figure salary in a nice neighborhood must deal with the boss -- but he gets a comfy life.
The broke guy in an isolated village may be poor -- but his pace of life is relaxing, he fishes a lot, is never in a rush, etc.
Basically add up any configuration of lifestyle stresses and benefits, total it up, and examine its inverse -- and the net amount of benefit and stress will wind up being the same in the end.
There's not really any "getting ahead" so much as there is "choosing whatever schema of problems and enjoyments you'd most enjoy."
Ever since this dawned on me it's really made life seem a little more playful. It's opened up the playing field mentally. Every choice I could make is just another, new configuration of stress and rewards, ultimately not better or worse than my own -- just different.
Japanese carpenters have a tradition of always installing wood in the correct direction, root end down and top end up. It has no function other than treating the wood with respect.
You would probably not like being installed standing on your head for the rest of your lifespan so why would the wood like it?
73% of women on the titanic survived.
Only 19% of men did.
Read that again.
Even the richest men alive, class, power, status, all useless when the ship started sinking.
Hierarchy collapsed.
Gender didn’t.
“Women and children first”
Not a suggestion.
A rule men didn’t break.
Men stood there.
No panic
No begging.
Just accepted it.
They didn’t ask:
“Do I know her?”
“Is she worth it?”
“Will she remember me?”
No one asked if it was fair.
No camera.
No applause.
No second chances.
Zero return.
Full cost.
Understand this:
When survival gets limited, a man’s life becomes negotiable.
Men like that built the world.
And today?
Masculinity gets mocked.
Call it whatever you want.
But when everything collapsed, men paid first.
This isn’t opinion.
This is history.
Underrated truth: your life gets better when you stop needing every decision to be optimal. Pick the restaurant. Buy the decent pair of shoes. Choose a book and start reading it. We waste an absurd amount of life comparing versions of experiences instead of having one. A good choice made quickly is often more valuable than the perfect choice you spent three weeks researching.
In May 2016, 15-year-old Karinya “Yaya” Chen was in hospice care in Austin, Texas after years of fighting cancer. She had tickets to see Florence The Machine, but by the night of the concert, she was simply too sick to go.
So the people at Hospice Austin reached out to the band.
And Florence Welch came to her.
Florence and guitarist Rob Ackroyd walked into Karinya’s room and gave her the concert she couldn't make it to. They sang “Shake It Out” and “Dog Days Are Over,” with Karinya singing and harmonizing right alongside them.
A few months later, Karinya lost her battle with cancer at just 15 years old.
But for one afternoon, none of that seemed to matter.
There was just a young girl, one of her favorite singers, a guitar, a room full of people who loved her... and music.
Sometimes the smallest act of kindness can become one of the biggest moments of someone's life.
This is what being human is supposed to look like.🙏
