God’s not holding the past against you. He’s not upset because you ignored Him; He’s not turned off because you didn’t believe. He’s waiting for you. His arms are opened wide.
do you actually want closure?
or do you want one last chance to convince someone who doesn’t value you bc they first don’t value themselves, that you are worthy of being chosen?
prove to yourself that you are worthy of being chosen by choosing yourself. walk away.
Every person has been hurt. You can’t live without wrongs being done to you. The question is, how do you respond? Jesus said, “When somebody takes your shirt, give them your coat too. When they ask you to walk a mile, go two miles.”
God never promised we’d have all the answers. What He offers to us is a box of crayons and the opportunity to let love draw bigger circles around the people we meet than they thought were possible.
hurt can take you to two places. bitterness, or the feet of Jesus. i hope you choose the second because there is where your broken pieces can be made whole once again.
bitterness will kill you, Jesus will heal you.
The Bible is filled with stories of people going through hard seasons & Jesus using them in the middle of them.
Could the resistance in your life be the very thing God uses for revival?
Jesus moves in the mess!
You can’t stop life from happening to you, but you can choose how you respond. If you hold on to the hurt, if you dwell on the offense, then you’re opening the door to bitterness.
You can’t make people do what’s right. If you’re trying to control everything, you’re going to be frustrated. Turn it over to God. Do what you can, then let God take care of the rest.
I give every guy I date a 3 red flag rule.
