We want to address the recent TAKE price dislocation and its impact on our community.
On December 30, 2025, TAKE experienced a sudden and sharp price drop. Based on our review so far, this move was driven by market conditions, where selling pressure was amplified by leverage and limited liquidity.
There is no evidence of:
- a protocol exploit
- a smart contract failure
- a security breach or hack
- any involvement of team or foundation-controlled wallets
This was not a hack or security incident.
While the selling activity appears to have come from external market participants, we recognize that market structure and liquidity conditions contributed to the severity of the move. Addressing these factors is our responsibility.
We understand the concerns being raised by the community. Our decision not to provide ongoing commentary is not due to ignoring these questions, but to ensure our review is careful, accurate, and responsible.
We are currently working with exchanges and advisors to complete a full post-incident review. Once this process is finalized, we will share a clear summary of our findings.
Development of TAKE continues as planned. Team operations and our product roadmap remain unchanged.
Please note that this communication reflects preliminary findings based on information available as of the date above and remains subject to further review.
We appreciate your patience and continued support as we focus on transparency, facts, and responsible next steps.
Thank you for standing with us.
TAKE token experienced a sharp price decline, which appears to be associated with large-scale liquidations in the derivatives market.
We are in the process of reviewing the circumstances in detail.
This incident is not related to any security breach or hacking activity.
All foundation and team-controlled wallets remain secure.
We kindly ask the community to wait for an official update. Thank you.
New Games Now Supported on OVERTAKE
OVERTAKE has expanded its marketplace platform with the addition of five new game titles, alongside new game-specific UI/UX designed for each of them.
Newly added games:
• Diablo IV
• RuneScape 3
• Old School RuneScape
• EA Sports FC 26
• Aion 2
Each newly added game comes with its own dedicated marketplace UI/UX, built to match the structure, assets, and economic design of that game. This ensures the platform is fully prepared to support each ecosystem as it comes online.
First of all, happy holidays to all. Now some clarifications needed
1. What happened to unstaked $TAKE in staking v1?
It's still in v1 staking page. In case you need the link: https://t.co/AEKTa73SzU
2. Would one need to stake 100 $TAKE even though the airdrop is less than 100?
Yes. As per the announcement
3. Would one need to stake 100 $TAKE in one pool
No, the sum just needs to be over 100. But in pools of 30d, 90d, and 180d.
4. Would one need to stake to get 2026 January airdrop batch?
Yes
5. Can one stake after December 25th to claim December airdrop batch?
Yes
Any more questions, you can leave in the comments or Discord ticket.
Feedbacks and opinions are also welcome too.
To support fair and sustainable participation, eligibility for the December distribution requires an active $TAKE stake in the same SUI wallet used for claiming.
Eligibility criteria:
✅Minimum stake: 100+ $TAKE
✅Eligible pools: 30d, 90d, or 180d
Higher levels of participation may be considered in future ecosystem programs.
The past two months have been brutal for the market. We’ve held up through it so far, and we’ll continue doing everything we can to stay resilient for the community going forward.
Starting from the December batch, the airdrop will be limited to wallets participating in Stakehouse with a very small amount of TAKE, as a measure against multi-account Sybil behavior.
Given that a significant amount of tokens has already been distributed over the past four months, we believe this is a clearer and more straightforward standard than introducing additional KYC or Sybil checks at this stage.
If you’re already participating in Stakehouse (or Staking V1), nothing changes for you.
We’re exploring additional flexibility around future unlock mechanics for highly engaged participants.
Let’s get through this tough market together.
Rewards have now been successfully distributed
Thank you to everyone who participated in the @STAKEHOUSE__ Early Access Sign-Up Event.
Congratulations again to all raffle winners, and welcome to Stakehouse.
@alextang In this kind of uncertain environment, what should application builders like us do?
1. Keep applying and experimenting stablecoins across the product
2. Build stablecoin ready system, and wait for standards to emerge
3. Do nothing
I agree that there were areas where we could have done a better job, and I fully understand why you feel upset.
But applying a completely new set of rules and restarting the entire Sybil process from zero is realistically very difficult at this point.
To clarify what we actually did:
1. Every account that was marked as Sybil was flagged by specific detection logics that were designed to identify multi-account behavior.
2. This included IP patterns, multiple "same name" emails with different domains, consolidating tokens from "many" claiming wallets into one wallet, and various other signals.
(And as you know, some recent projects ran into major issues because their own teams manipulated these exact areas.)
3. For all flagged accounts, we also manually checked in-game purchase histories and other actions one by one as carefully as we could.
4. To avoid subjective value judgment, we intentionally did not review X handles or any other identifiable information when making decisions.
Now, my personal thoughts:
Some of the points you raised are valid. But we also need to consider both sides.
We applied a set of rules to protect the ecosystem, and reversing everything now would also create fairness issues for many other users who followed the rules.
So here’s what we’ll do:
1. For accounts already marked as Sybil (from the second round) We will take one final internal review to see if there is anything we can reasonably adjust.
2. For the rest of the community:
Instead of simply creating stronger logic, I think we need something that actually motivates everyone. A structure where real contribution is recognized, encouraged, and rewarded. Our goal is to build a system where those rewards go to people who genuinely help strengthen the Overtake ecosystem together with us.
And thank you. Your feedback gave me a chance to rethink things once again.
