@NVIDIARTXSpark@ASUS@JensenHuang For me it was Quake. I worked third shift in a retail store and set up a few computers in electronics with the game so me and my coworkers could fight it out on our breaks!
@yukihiro_matz Getting used to a tiling window manager with a keyboard-driven workflow took me some time but now I simply cannot work any other way without frustration. It has been a huge improvement.
Give it some time - you may find the same true for you :-)
@0xSero Currently on Omarchy (since launch) and I have an RTX 5090 that I run local agents on via llama.cpp and opencode if that helps. What is your timeframe?
@esrtweet I felt the same surprise after adopting AI tools. I realized I've always cared most about the end result and am quite happy to shepherd the process these days with tools that don't mind being criticized until they get it right π€£
That focus is wrong from the start. NOT "enterprise" ... just "desktop." Most other options are so underwhelming it should be no secret why they have failed to gain traction or real interest, much less continued funding...
News Flash: NOBODY wants Windows or macOS "2.0" lol
PLUS -- gotta say -- the identity politics that other options INSIST on bringing into this discussion are so absolutely offputting to most people. They have no clue they are doing this to themselves, though... (Echo Chamber much?)
This should be about the tech users want, and nothing but.
@NVIDIAGeForce Game of the summer for me was Cyberpunk 2077.
Need a 5090 for AI work but can't even at current prices. Would love a hand up! #RTXPowersPlay
@dhh@TheoHenusse Unfortunately the small group is very, very mouthy... and persistent. Never "correct", certainly not "right" (hehe) but they sure do not stop with their nonsense, regardless of the reaction they garner.
