Rescued after three long hours in the water, she’s been surrounded by incredible doctors and nurses who have cared for her as she begins to face this new and heartbreaking reality.

Somehow, in the middle of all this pain, we’re finding peace that we can’t fully explain, knowing that one day we’ll be reunited with our parents and Micah. We’ve seen miracle after miracle, from Megan’s survival to the support that’s gotten us through this time. We managed to reach her even when Western North Carolina was completely shut down, and now we’re together, starting the long road to healing.
