@divyanshu_van @Wealthsimple After going through several levels of escalation, I was able to get the funds converted back to USD without an exchange fee. I had to repurchase all of the stocked that were liquidated.

That was a really bad initial experience. However, I have been a very happy WS client since.

The explanation from WS was that I didn’t explicitly asked for a USD account to be created so they liquidated all of my USD stocks and converted the funds to CAD.

@divyanshu_van @Wealthsimple I had a similarly poor experience with transferring my Scotia iTrade account to WS a number of years back. I asked for in-kind transfer, but they liquidated all of my USD holdings and charged me their exchange rate.
