@Mark__Lawrence That's going to depend on how different they are. Are they a zionist, supportive of a genocide? Are they a TERF using the profits to overturn trans rights? Are they pro-life in favor of stripping women of their bodily autonomy? Never reading it again
I can't log in to my account, there is absolutely no way to contact CS. The only phone number LISTED on YOUR website, does not exist (unacceptable for a company of your size). I'm done being led in circles by your joke of a website. How can I contact CS?
@AppleSupport
Let me trace the timeline here because nobody's connecting it.
Step 1: Scrape the entire internet. Every book, every article, every conversation, every piece of art, every forum post. Do it without asking. Do it without paying.
Step 2: Train a model on all of it. Call it "artificial intelligence."
Step 3: Go to BlackRock's Infrastructure Summit and announce: "We see a future where intelligence is a utility, like electricity or water, and people buy it from us on a meter."
Step 3 is where you sell people's own knowledge back to them. On a meter.
They took the collective output of human thought, compressed it into a model, and now they want to charge you by the token to access a version of what you and everyone you know already created.
One Reddit user put it perfectly: "They stole all this data from us, the people, our life's work, creativity, art, by devouring the internet and blowing through all copyright laws. Now they want to sell it back to us in the form of a utility."
Imagine if someone photocopied every book in the public library, burned the library down, and then opened a subscription service for the copies.
That's the metered intelligence business model.
And they're pitching it to infrastructure investors as though they invented water.
@SchmoopyWoopy @outbreakupdates I'm so sorry. An elderly lady in Germany died after crossing paths with an infected, unmasked, neighbor that should have been isolating. The neighbor was sentenced to 4months in prison, but the judge apologized for not being able to let her go free, disgusting.
Just a few hours ago in the West Bank:
The elderly woman Sabriya Shamasna was martyred after she was beaten by Israeli soldiers while they raided her home in Jayyous, near Qalqiliya.
Her husband was seen at the hospital after hearing the news.
Harvard researchers put 24 office workers in the same room for 6 days.
They changed one thing about the air. The workers didn't know.
Then they tested their brains.
Cognitive scores doubled.
Here's what the air you're breathing right now is doing to your brain:
@fia The new regs ruined F1 and are a danger to the drivers. If I wanted to watch battery swapping races I'd watch Formula E. Unfortunately my F1TV sub renewed before the season started, if the FIA don't fix this, I will be canceling it and moving to a sport with real engines
Israel murdered every single person in this photo today in South Lebanon.
Every. Single. One.
2 journalists
7 paramedics
1 Lebanese soldier
They bombed the journalists’ vehicle — then bombed them again when paramedics rushed to help.
This is the reality of modeling aerosols all day🤢
It's just a lot nicer not to think about that, or be like..."nah all the bioaerosols kind of just die on their own in the few seconds between when they are exhaled by someone else and I inhale them..." Because otherwise?🤮
I think that in some cases, the better someones grasp of science, the stronger their need to reject aerosol transmission. Because if they accept that it's a dominant mode of transmission and really understand what that means, the implications are far-reaching and incredibly frightening.
For the layperson, it's just "Oh, so like coughs but further yeah? Well I'll take extra vitamins LOL" and they get on with their life of episodic illness, possibly debilitating, but with (to them) unclear vectors.
For someone with a good grasp of science, if they really understand what almost every respiratory infection having airborne potential means, than they understand that if true, almost all of the modern indoor spaces we have would be unsafe without massive IAQ upgrades- and in many cases those upgrades might not even be physically possible.
If airborne transmission is dominant = Nearly all of our indoor physical infrastructure is dangerous and obsolete without costly upgrades.
That is a massive, massive social, political, and financial upheaval to contemplate- and people able to see the big picture implications, rejecting it at a visceral level, when a comfortable, nostalgic paradigm of handwashing and coughing into their elbow is right there for them to cling to, is somewhat understandable.
It will take a long time, and a great deal more work before many come around- and many never will. Semmelweis's findings were not accepted during his lifetime- and those were a comparatively minor upheaval.
@IQAir Do you sell masks without the frame? It seems wasteful to dispose of the frame along with every mask. Zimi air seems to be the only one offering the option to buy extra masks with no frame, for now. It would be nice to also have this option for your maks
Washing the inside of your nose is basically the respiratory version of washing your hands.
Sure…do it if you want (with a product that isn’t contaminated). Think of it as hygiene maintenance.
But for an airborne virus that sails straight past the entrance and into your lungs… or hitches a ride along the olfactory highway into your brain… a rinse isn’t a force-field. You’re only cleaning the surface you can reach, not the tissue where the virus actually does the damage.
I still wash my hands.
I still wash my nose, with a product I trust.
But let’s be honest: that’s a hope-and-a-prayer layer. It’s not the thing that keeps you safe.
Respirators do. Ventilation does. Filtration does.
Hygiene is fine… but the virus is airborne.
@eurowings Unbelievable, we're being charged AGAIN for the rebooking in order to be able to get a boarding pass. We can't even claim the payment back from our bank, it's been too long. We'll be looking at other airlines from now on
@eurowings tried to check to my flight yesterday, option not available because YOUR system didn't register payment of a rebooking fee. At the airport counter, they can't do anything because no one will answer the phone. We might be stranded b/c YOUR system failed. Unacceptable
@eurowings flight leaves in less than 2 hours, still have to check a bag and get through secure, and we're still waiting because even though YOU KNOW about this issue, you've done nothing to fix it.
