He’s been open that he wanted to quit before it turned into a real problem because he couldn’t socialize without alcohol. He wasn’t in full blown addiction but knew it easily could turn into that so he chose to try dry January. Once he finished that he saw the benefits and chose to continue.
Questioning someone’s reasoning for sobriety is extremely fucked up and will also make others who are struggling feel unsafe to come out with their own stories. You’re attacking him for what?
