Remote

On a mission to pay the world.

[Marcelo Lebre @marcelolebre]

Why do we work?
To pay rent, to build something that lasts, to stay curious, to look after the people we love.

Every day, someone in Lagos and someone in San Francisco are building a product together - on servers an engineer in Denmark keeps running. All three expect to get paid properly on payday.

The global economy is made up of people like them, connected by the work they do. And at the center of it all is a simple deal: you do good work, and you get paid fairly for it, no matter where you live.

Making that deal work across borders is what we do at @Remote.

"What happens when you can build anywhere, with anyone?"

Proud to share our new brand film: 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀.

Sound on.

The world works because people work.

Shot in Perugia. Edited in New York. Sourced in Berlin. Paid in Singapore.

Our new campaign, For a World That Works, celebrates the unseen infrastructure powering the global economy.

At @Remote we built two benchmarks, HRmark and PayMark, to test whether AI can handle global payroll. We ran 12 models through 5,000 tests across 50 countries: three payslip items in four came out wrong, and thinking harder cost ~3x for under 2 points of gain.

That's a wrap on #WDAYRising 🙌 Proud to be there as a Gold sponsor.

As a @Workday Platinum Partner and Certified Integration Partner, we're bringing global payroll and EOR into Workday.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by. #WorkdayPartners

https://t.co/1KoiSNsQTD now goes all the way from your first prompt to Software Factories. These 4 new courses help you and your team learn:

1. Decision Models: let a model sort your incoming work, like support messages, and know exactly when you can trust it to act on its own
2. Harnesses: give an agent the instructions, limits and checks to do a job right
3. AI-Native Engineering: fix bugs and ship features with coding agents
4. Software Factories: run many agents on bug backlogs and migrations, with the sign-offs that keep their changes safe

This is how our teams at @Remote work today - available as courses anybody can take for free: https://t.co/1KoiSNsQTD

Who do we mean when we say we're going to 'pay the world'? You.

Every single one of you.

Across all business industries and every corner of the earth.

Because "who doesn't want to live in a world where everyone contributes, everyone's valued, and everyone's paid?"

Introducing: for a world that works.

Remote's first-ever brand campaign, and our love letter to global work.

How does money move around the world on payday?

Hire in Nairobi, pay from Toronto: shillings, Kenyan tax, local contributions. It's a lot to do alone.

That's global payroll. As the employer of record, Remote handles payroll, tax, and contributions.

Real people. Real paydays. Pay the world.

Global work is already here.

The hard part is building the infrastructure that makes it work.

That’s what we built at Remote: a financial operating system for the global workforce, bringing the pay behind global work into one system of record.

That’s what makes us different.

We pay the world.

[Marcelo Lebre @marcelolebre]

We've always had a bold mission: pay the world. Now we finally have a look that matches it.

@remote rebrand is live. Pretty cool. So many companies changing their positioning from platform to operating system. Goes to show how much saas is changing!

[Marcelo Lebre @marcelolebre]

@Jobvo wrote about @Remote's rebrand. Adding to it from the building side:

We originally thought we could plug into payroll APIs - push numbers in, push money out, and be done. Then we went looking for those APIs but they didn't exist. So we built them country by country for seven years.

People told us we were out of our minds. Why not duct-tape some vendors together and move on? Because the duct tape is exactly where payroll breaks. Usually on payday.

Now Workday, BambooHR, and Personio power their global employment offerings with Remote. The infrastructure we wished for became the product.

We built Remote to be built on.

@simonxabris Thanks for being honest. A new look can take some getting used to, and we’d genuinely like to hear what you think. You can share your feedback through the chat in your Remote profile.

When new eras appear, it looks like the sky is falling. Instead of running for cover, Remote CEO Job van der Voort invited COLLINS to look up with him.

Our full case study is coming soon.

Pay the world - Bolder mission with a bold look!

Great companies mutate as they adapt to the world, grow with their customers and keep pace with the ambition to be more - continuously embracing that change is what makes us, us. Proud.
